Marda Loop Brewing is a 5HL craft brewery located in the heart of Marda Loop that opened in August 2018. It is a unique gathering place with a friendly and fun atmosphere. We create and serve delicious, fresh beer made with mostly local ingredients and provide exemplary service in a contemporary upscale setting. The brewery is comprised of a tap tasting room and a growler tap area. Our assortment of beer offerings has been complemented by our unique and innovative menu.
We are seeking a Line Cook who is self motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As Line Cook, you are responsible for preparing our expanded menu. You will execute duties according our standards, safety requirements, and best practice.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate commitment, passion and culinary skills to maximize customer satisfaction and provide an entertaining craft brewery experience
Set up and maintain the kitchen in a neat and clean manner, ensuring that all supplies and food items are available and stored appropriately; communicate low inventory situations
Prepare food while exercising portion control, ensure proper garnishing and minimize waste
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and keep in pristine condition
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces and ensuring trash and compost are properly and safely disposed
Maintain professional composure and ability to work under pressure regardless of the situation
Provide support with handling auxiliary brewery and taproom duties as requested
Interact with customers to provide service and promote the Marda Loop Brewing culture
Participate in various events and festivals related to the promotion of Marda Loop Brewing
Support other duties and responsibilities as directed
Qualifications and Experience
Must be 18 years of age or older and Food Safety Certified (or complete within 30 days of hire)
Ideally, a minimum 2-4 years of practical experience; culinary education is an asset; top-performing culinary students considered
Exceptional portioning and garnishing skills and inventory management
Strong communication skills
Ability to work safely and in compliance with all health, safety and sanitation standards
Passion for craft beer, appreciation for craft beer culture and a complementary menu
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team and to think critically and self-motivate
Commitment to being engaged in the community, giving back and being responsible
